Meet Rebecca Layla

Helping you get unstuck and move forward.

I’m Rebecca, and I help people rebuild after heartbreak, understand the patterns that keep them stuck, and become someone they can trust to make better choices in life and relationships.

But first, I’m going to let you in on a little secret…

I used to be a MASSIVE people pleaser, I was literally the poster girl for daddy issues. I seriously lacked confidence, so when it came to relationships I settled for bare minimum BS. Repeatedly.

Eventually, I realised something had to change. So I started doing the work — understanding my own behaviour, rebuilding my self-worth, learning how attachment and old patterns were shaping my choices, and becoming far more intentional about what I would and wouldn’t accept.

That process changed far more than my relationships. It changed how I saw myself, how I made decisions, the boundaries I set, and the life I was willing to create.

Now, that’s the work I help other people do.

My Credentials

I’ve spent the last 15 years working in behaviour change in all sorts of settings, from social care and offender rehabilitation to working as a Behaviour Manager in a high school.

Basically, I’ve spent a very long time being fascinated by why people do the things they do, even when those things are clearly making their lives harder.

That interest started in my twenties when I studied Social Science at the University of York. I’ve always been a bit of a nerd when it comes to human behaviour.

Then after my divorce, I did the deeply inconvenient thing of holding up a mirror and realising that, in quite a few ways, I was the fucking problem.

So naturally, I decided to do what any normal person would do…

Undertake a Master’s degree in Applied Positive Psychology.

That gave me an even deeper understanding of behaviour, mindset, identity, wellbeing and what actually helps people create lasting change.

Since then, I’ve taken everything I’ve learnt professionally, academically and through my own spectacularly imperfect life experience, and turned it into the way I coach now.

No jargon. No pretending change is easy. Just helping people understand themselves properly, break the patterns that keep tripping them up, and start making choices that actually move their life forward.
